REM New Jersey
REM New Jersey offers personalized Community Living Residences throughout the state and have decades of experience and a successful track record of providing innovative services in community-based settings.
REM’s Roots Run Deep
REM New Jersey is a part of REM, an organization that has been offering services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1967. When the first REM group home opened in Minnesota, community living options for people with developmental disabilities were practically non-existent. As a pioneer in human services, REM created innovative programs and became a recognized leader in transitioning people out of institutions and into home and community-based settings.
Building on its roots in Minnesota, REM expanded to New Jersey in 1996 offering an array of individualized supports in small Community Living Residences. Later in 2003, REM became a partner of The MENTOR Network. Since then, REM New Jersey and New Jersey MENTOR have worked side by side to continue building on the vision of REM and The MENTOR Network and expand its Community Living Residence programs to citizens throughout the Garden state.
